Fungi are organisms found in all biomes and over most varied substrates. It is estimated that 5 % is known of all existing fungi on the planet and they are involved in the breakdown of organic matter, industrial fermentation processes, commercial production of food and medicine, likewise, in agroforestry systems. Among medicinal mushrooms is Ganoderma lucidum, which occupies first place in China, Japan and Europe. This mushroom has a high demand and there is a culture system that provides the optimum conditions for production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the organoleptic characteristics of inoculum of Ganoderma lucidum in 60 days of production, in substrates based in corn cob, broken corn and wheat grain in different proportions The development rate (TD) of the G1 strain of Ganoderma lucidum was 2.24 mm/day on PDA medium at room temperature. The experimental results showed that the formulas based on wheat grain, broken corn and crushed corn cob (T1, T2, T4 and T8) are the best substrates, and also it gives them a good development in the biomass estimate, providing the 100% colonization with pleasant aroma and no contamination; showing it is possible use for the commercial production of inoculum of Ganoderma lucidum to difference of broken corn. In addition, the most significant variables for evaluation of mycelial development and growth of the strain (G1) in substrates based in crushed corn cob, broken corn and wheat grain in different proportions are colonization percentage, aerial mycelium and texture that can be used as quality indicators in the commercial inoculum production.
Teucrium sarikizensis Keskin & Özyiğit sp. nov. is described and illustrated as a new species from Mount Ida (Kazdağı), Balıkesir (Turkey). The new species is distinct from the closely allied T. brevifolium Schreber and T. alyssifolium Stapf. by the features: Indumentum tomentose, pedicels very short, calyx 7-8 mm, teeth c.3 mm, corolla 12 mm, white.
A new species, Hieracium kazdaghensis (Asteraceae), from Mount Ida, Turkey was discovered, and a comparative analysis was done with its close relatives, H. olympicum Boiss. and H. greuteri Gottschl. Our study showed that H. kazdaghensis was distinctively separated from its closest relatives with its long hairs in all plant parts, and differences in leaves and seeds characteristics. Therefore, we strongly claim that H. kazdaghensis is a distinct new species in Hieracium genus.
This paper conveys the importance of semantic web usage in effective ways. SWT search provides a set of technologies for querying, searching, and storing information. In preceding concepts clustering techniques used to search information adopting semantic web (SW) in various websites. This search required more time, space and low in efficiency. In this paper we represent a new technique applying cloud which overcomes the criteria. Search engines provide lots and lots of results per query which requires huge memory space but the user needs only the exact solution for the query. To avoid the wastage of storage Memory Mapping Technique (MMT) is used to enhance universal access in websites with an exact keyword through semantic search (SW). Moreover, it does not take more memory in order to save computational virtual storage. Information encrypted is always kept for the private usage. The proposed model validates a concept implementing flexibility in secured cloud data while promoting search is a massive challenge. A new methodology Artificial Neural analysis (ANN) is adopted facing the challenge of predicting user needs. A semantic smart cloud search scheme is also produced to tackle the challenge which returns the exact keyword semantic match. Domain terms are extracted with semantic information from data cloud using domain ontology which in term combines the knowledge of the system enriching convergence method.
In the present scenario, company has multiple departments of data warehouses. Data warehouse stores all information of each product. Searching and comparing the records of any organization is a very difficult task and time taking process if a warehouse is too long, as in the database, this process consumes excessive computing process. In this paper, our proposed approach using Time Performance analyzer Tool to designing and compare their data warehouse’ contents based on time. This tool is helps to designed, analyse and compares multiple databases in the respect of different records and time consuming process. For this we have a hypothesis, fifteen tables as a sample size and performed t-test in a particular region. Our tool will help to increases the productivity, efficiency and reduces access time of multiple data warehouses.
According to Piaget, combinatorial reasoning calls for systematic analysis of how various approaches can be used singly or in multiple use to find out an existing phenomenon or behaviour in a given situation. The focus of this investigation was to assess combinatorial reasoning in formal operations as it obtains among university students in Uganda. The sample comprised 262 men and women selected from Makerere University in the City of Kampala, UIganda, who were administered a questionnaire on combinatorial reasoning. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis of data. The results showed that on the basis of percentage and chi-square the majority of participants had a mastery of combinatorial reasoning, thus confirming the notion that adolescents are capable of operating at the formal operations stage. The finding further confirmed the universality of Piaget’s theory of cognitive development.
ABSTRACT\nThe study investigated how participation in sport can enhance a learner’s self-esteem. Sport has been chosen as a point of focus in this study although there are other significant factors, which may contribute to increasing self-esteem of learners, such as academic performance, peer acceptance, support from the school and parental support. A focus group interview and a semi-structured interview were used as data collection procedures. A school in Pinetown urban area was selected for this study. Six learners from Grade 10, 11 and 12 whose ages ranged from 15 to 18 years and who are experienced in sport were selected to participate in the focus group interview. The sports coordinator who is also a physical education teacher was requested to participate in the semi-structured interview. Data analysis based on the participants’ responses revealed that learners engaged in sport have higher self-esteem than those who do not participate. Moreover, learners participating in sport have positive relationships with their teachers, parents and peers. Therefore the study was seen as beneficial in motivating learners and parents to motivate their children to partake in sport at school level.
